About our Mural:

The original HORSE FAIR painting by Rosa Bonheur hangs just 25 miles away in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. This masterpiece was painted in 1855. Ms. Bonheur had to disguise herself as a man to visit the horse markets to make her sketches because women’s activities were severely restricted at the time.

The Chinese believe that running horses are symbols of power and perseverance. They represent a distinguished life, success and prosperity. It is thought that they will help you run swiftly and strongly through all life’s obstacles.

HORSE FAIR has been my favorite painting for over 30 years. As the proud owner of two Clydesdales, I want to share the energy and
beauty of magnificent horses with our friends and customers.
